Upon utilizing our services, your ink fingerprints undergo a precise electronic scanning process, subsequently being transmitted to FDLE for both state and Federal background checks. The obtained results are then forwarded to the relevant state agency that necessitates the background check. It’s important to emphasize that our role concludes at this point, and we do not possess access to these results.
Should you wish to proceed with scheduling a Level 2 background check through FDLE, it’s of utmost importance to be well-versed in your Originating Agency Identification (ORI) number. This specific code signifies the designated State Agency that is set to receive and evaluate your background check results. Generally, this identifier begins with a sequence of 2-5 letters, followed by a set of numbers, effectively forming a 9-digit code.
Efficient Livescan and Ink Fingerprinting for Timely Background Check Completion
As stipulated by Florida Law, it is imperative to include this 9-digit code when submitting your livescan prints. Once the electronic submission is successfully received, Florida Live Scan background checks undergo a process that generally concludes within a span of three business days.

If you don’t have an ORI number for your livescan and ink fingerprints, please contact your originating agency (listed below), employer, or volunteer organization.
NOTE: Level 2 Live Scan electronic/ Ink fingerprinting is a service that electronically sends your fingerprints to FDLE who forwards them to the FBI. The results are then sent to the state agency that is requiring the background check. We DO NOT receive the results.
